Marketplace
We need some way to quickly get a weapon that fits your character build. It would also be nice to sell good items that don't fit any of your character builds. I like the Auction House idea proposed on another thread but I think this is a simpler idea.
If there was a marketplace in the major cities where you could drop off your weapons to an attendant with a price attached to them. Other players could browse all the items at the marketplace and if they choose, pay the listed amount and purchase that item. The original owner would then be credited the money for the item.
There should be ways to narrow down the selection to just the item you are looking for and at a price you can afford.
This would help me avoid wasting time buying and selling instead of playing the game.

the way i see it... there are too many people holding onto things they dont want anymore, cause of how annoying it is to try to find a buyer. Having a auction house would do a lot of good things.
1. It would reduce buyers & sellers spam in chat, allowing the chat channels to be used for what they're sapposed to be used for. (Imagine going to LA dst 1 and being able to form a party to do missions, instead of getting sufficated out by spam.)
2. It would reduce time spent trying to buy or sell items. We could actually play the game instead of worrying about getting rid of your items in your inventory.
3. It would stabilize the market. Not to go into much detail, but supply and demand would actually drive the price of items, even for new items.
And there's really nothing bad that can come out of having a this option. Actually this idea has been proposed for some time now... I would like to hear what a-net think of this. I know you read theese forums... how about letting us know what's happening or what's not happening with this!

I've always wanted something like this, but something to keep in mind: there would either have to be a limit as to how many items you could put there to sell, or items waiting to be sold would need to take up storage/inventory space. If not, people would use the market as infinate storage space, ie, put all of your items in the market for 9999999999999 gold. No one would buy them, so free storage. Just something that anet would have to figure out.

Play Knights Online, each chracter was able to set up a trading booth in which your chracter can put up items with a set price. This way you can go afk and people would buy your items.

Set a price for your item and let the NPC sell it = simple as it gets.
WOuld the NPC take a % or a fixed amount for providing this service?
